DirectEmployers is essentially a consortium of large companies that have banded together to create a search engine which catalogs job postings from the sites of the member employers (ranging from Accenture to Xerox). Owned and managed by E-Recruiting Association, the site is quite valuable to the job seeker, who can easily sort and browse for jobs by location, employer or industry. E-Recruiting Association is a non-profit organization that the corporations join (in the process becoming member/owners) in order to get their corporate job listings in front of a wide audience, and to gain insight into corporate recruiting on the Internet in the form of benchmark studies and best practices reports created on behalf of the group.
