A digital talent marketplace creates more transparency and visibility into open opportunities. Additionally, we know that it can reduce bias. As we think about this from the diversity, equity, and inclusion [DEI] lens, we know that women are much less likely to apply for jobs if they don’t meet the qualifications. We often hear that a man will apply for a job if he has 60 percent of the criteria. So men are 60 percent qualified, whereas women want to be able to be 100 percent qualified and to hit every single skill required. A digital talent marketplace infers the skills you have and then matches you to jobs for which you have the relevant skills or are a near match. It takes the guesswork out, which is critical to making sure we’re creating opportunities in an equitable and inclusive way.
