Casting a Wide Net: Building the Capabilities for Open Innovation [Archive.org URL]

Many companies have embraced open innovation, only to discover that it is not for them. In fact a good number of those companies are not right for open innovation, mainly because they lack the capabilities needed to promote and leverage collaboration – within the company and with external partners. These authors identify and describe three strategies for open innovation, and explain what an organization must to build the right capabilities needed for it to succeed.
