To help organizations assess the return on their human capital investments, Accenture introduced a new assessment and analytic tool: the Accenture Human Capital Development Framework. The Accenture framework was developed by drawing on best practices and Accenture experience in human resource (HR) development, learning and knowledge management, workforce productivity, along with state-of-the-art measurement techniques. With the framework, an organization can better assess its core human capital capabilities (such as leadership, workforce performance and talent management), identify the human capital processes that will likely improve them and then prescribe the specific process interventions that will improve the capabilities-as well as overall business performance. Implementation of the framework in dozens of organizations has generated a number of useful-and often surprising-insights about measuring and managing people assets for high performance.
